My name is Annette Dunlap and I’m a decorating consultant in Youngstown, Ohio. I also work part-time as a design assistant at an interior design firm/unique home furnishings store. I LOVE to decorate for Christmas and I also love the beach so this year I’ve incorporated a «beachy» theme into some of my holiday decor! I want to thank my dear friend Konstadina for allowing me to give you a glimpse into our home this holiday season and I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
**********************************
*Our Christmas tree has a coastal theme this year….
*We have a metal tree that hangs above our mantle year round and at Christmastime I decorate it and add lights.
*This is what the tree looks like when the lights are on…they actually twinkle slowly like little stars but you can’t tell from the photo….it’s pretty magical!
*This is my entry way. The table was handmade by my Dad years ago from old barn wood.
*I was walking my dog a couple of weeks ago the morning after a beautiful snow and I was inspired to create this centerpiece for my dining room table. The Queen Anne’s Lace flowers in the field which were all brown and past their prime were tipped in sparkly snow and they looked beautiful and alive again! I cut some and brought them in and created this arrangement using some sparkly «snow» grass to add life to them and recreate the «snowy» field scene that I witnessed that morning.
*This is an arrangement on my buffet…Santa and a polar bear…Santa was given to me by my Mom and the polar bear came from my brother and sister-in-law. They have special meaning to me and I thought they looked kind of happy together!
*Christmas Nativity scene…I’ve had this set for over 20 years…my sister made the manger.
*The music room…my Mom refinished this piano for me when I was 10 years old, it’s one of my very favorite things in my home!
*This is a close up of the slate on the piano…
*The Christmas palm tree in the music room! This year I changed up this room and made it less formal and a little more «fun».
*It was a wintry day out….so beautiful!
*My sister, Mom and I have a little shop in the center of our small town and this is a photo of our «Christmas Tree Farm» at the shop!
*These are «fur» trees that I made to sell in our shop…

Thank you so much for your extremely kind comments Karen! I’m really glad you liked the «fur» trees. A friend of mine from work gave me the fur and I thought it would be fun to make trees out of it! I wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year too!
